Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers for parents before booking KS3 or GCSE maths tuition with SiddiqAcademy.
How much does tuition cost?
A single 1-hour maths lesson costs £60. The 10-session package costs £525, saving £75 compared with booking individual lessons. The 20-session package costs £900, saving £300 compared with booking individual lessons.
Is the first consultation free?
Yes. The first consultation and initial assessment are free. This helps me understand your child’s current level, confidence and support needs before recommending the most suitable next step.
What happens during the free assessment?
The free assessment is used to understand what your child already knows and where gaps may be affecting progress. It is not designed to put pressure on the student.
Do you teach both KS3 and GCSE Maths?
Yes. SiddiqAcademy supports KS3 students in Years 7–9 and GCSE students in Years 10–11. Tuition is tailored to the student’s current level and goals.
Do you support Foundation and Higher GCSE students?
Yes. Foundation students are supported with key methods, confidence and exam marks. Higher students are supported with problem solving, exam technique and pushing towards Grades 7–9.
How do I know which tuition option is right?
If you are unsure, start with the free consultation and assessment. I can then recommend whether a single lesson, 10-session package or 20-session package is most suitable.
What happens after I submit an enquiry?
I will review the details you have shared and contact you to discuss availability, tuition format and the most suitable starting point for your child.
What days and times are available?
Tuition is currently available on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings from 5:00pm to 8:20pm. Saturday and Sunday tuition is available from 9:00am to 6:10pm. Exact availability is confirmed after enquiry.
Is tuition online or in person?
Tuition is available online or in person in Nottingham. Local travel tuition within Nottingham may also be available by arrangement, with pricing discussed during consultation.
Can tuition help if my child lacks confidence?
Yes. Lessons are calm, structured and designed to help students feel more secure before moving on to harder topics.
Can you help students aiming for Grades 7, 8 or 9?
Yes. Higher-attaining students are supported with deeper understanding, problem solving, exam technique and challenging questions that prepare them for top GCSE grades.
Do parents receive updates?
Yes. Parents are kept informed about progress, areas for improvement and the next focus for tuition, especially when a student is following a 10-session or 20-session plan.
Do I have to commit to a package straight away?
No. You can start with the free consultation and assessment or a single 1-hour lesson first. Packages are useful when a student needs regular, structured support.
Is online tuition effective for maths?
Yes. Online tuition can work very well when lessons are structured clearly. I use explanation, modelling, guided practice and questioning to help students understand each step.
Still unsure where to begin?
Start with a free consultation and assessment so I can recommend the most suitable support for your child.
