Terms & Conditions
Clear, fair terms for online Maths tuition.
These Terms & Conditions explain how tuition with Siddiq Academy works. By arranging tuition, booking a lesson or continuing with lessons after these terms have been provided, you agree to the terms below.

About Siddiq Academy
Siddiq Academy is operated by Mohammed Siddiq, a qualified secondary Maths teacher and GCSE examiner.
Siddiq Academy provides online Maths tuition for secondary school students, including KS3 and GCSE support. Face-to-face tuition is not currently offered as a standard service.
Free consultation
Siddiq Academy offers a free consultation before tuition begins. The consultation is designed to understand the student’s needs, confidence, current situation and whether Siddiq Academy is likely to be a suitable form of support.
The free consultation does not guarantee a tuition place. Siddiq Academy may decline tuition where it is not suitable, where availability is limited, or where there may be a conflict of interest.
Suitability and conflict of interest
Siddiq Academy reserves the right to decline or stop tuition where there is a conflict of interest, a safeguarding concern, inappropriate conduct, or where tuition is not considered suitable for the student’s needs.
Booking lessons
Tuition times are arranged directly with the parent or carer. A regular lesson slot may be offered where availability allows, but this is not guaranteed unless confirmed in writing.
Parents and carers are responsible for ensuring the student attends the lesson on time and has the necessary equipment ready. Parents and carers should also keep contact details and any relevant tuition information up to date.
Payment
Lesson fees and payment arrangements will be confirmed before tuition begins. Payment should be made by the agreed method and by the agreed deadline.
Where payment is not received on time, Siddiq Academy may pause or cancel future lessons until payment has been made.
Cancellations and rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please give as much notice as possible.
Where at least 24 hours’ notice is given, Siddiq Academy will try to rearrange the lesson where availability allows.
Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may still be charged in full, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
If Siddiq Academy needs to cancel or rearrange a lesson, an alternative time will be offered where possible, or any payment made for that lesson will be carried forward or refunded.
Online service cancellation rights
Where tuition is arranged online, by email or by phone, parents and carers may have statutory cancellation rights under UK consumer rules, including a possible 14-day cancellation period.
By booking a lesson to take place during any applicable cancellation period, you request that Siddiq Academy begins providing the tuition service during that period.
If you later cancel within any applicable cancellation period, you agree that any tuition already delivered must still be paid for. Any payment for tuition not yet delivered will be handled in line with your statutory rights and these Terms & Conditions.
Refunds and unused lessons
Where a lesson has been paid for but has not yet been delivered, Siddiq Academy may offer to carry the payment forward to a future lesson, rearrange the lesson, or refund the payment where appropriate.
Refunds are not normally provided for lessons already delivered, missed without notice, or cancelled late in line with the cancellation terms above, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Student lateness and missed lessons
Students should join lessons on time. If a student is late, the lesson will usually still finish at the original scheduled time.
If a student does not attend and no notice has been given, the lesson may be treated as a missed lesson and may still be charged.
Online tuition requirements
Lessons take place online. Parents and carers are responsible for ensuring the student has:
- a suitable device
- a reliable internet connection
- a quiet and appropriate learning space
- any agreed materials, calculator, pen and paper ready before the lesson
Siddiq Academy is not responsible for technical issues caused by the student’s device, internet connection or home setup.
Safeguarding and appropriate conduct
Siddiq Academy is committed to providing a safe, professional and respectful online learning environment.
Students, parents and carers are expected to behave respectfully during all communication and lessons.
Siddiq Academy does not use private social media messaging with students. Communication should take place through agreed parent/carer channels.
If a safeguarding concern arises, Siddiq Academy will respond appropriately and may share relevant information with a parent/carer or appropriate safeguarding service where necessary.
Learning support and progress
Siddiq Academy aims to provide clear, structured and supportive Maths tuition. Tuition may include explanation, modelling, guided practice, independent practice, homework, exam technique and progress feedback, depending on the student’s needs.
While Siddiq Academy will support the student’s progress, no specific grade, mark, exam result or school outcome can be guaranteed.
Homework and independent practice
Homework may be set where appropriate. Parents and carers are encouraged to support routines around homework and independent practice, but the student remains responsible for completing any work set.
Siddiq Academy cannot guarantee progress where agreed work is not completed or where attendance is irregular.
Resources and copyright
Any resources, worksheets, notes, lesson materials or digital files provided by Siddiq Academy are for the student’s personal use only.
They must not be copied, shared, uploaded, resold, distributed or used by other tutors, students, schools or organisations without written permission from Siddiq Academy.
Lesson recordings
Lessons are not recorded as standard. If a lesson is ever recorded, this will only happen with clear agreement in advance and for an agreed educational purpose.
Parents, carers and students must not record lessons without prior permission.
Privacy and personal information
Siddiq Academy handles personal information in line with its Privacy Policy.
Information provided during enquiries, consultations and tuition is used to respond to enquiries, arrange tuition, support learning, communicate with parents/carers and manage the tutoring service.
Please do not send highly sensitive personal, medical or safeguarding information through website forms unless it is necessary. Sensitive matters can be discussed directly where appropriate.
Ending tuition
Parents and carers may stop tuition by giving notice in writing. Siddiq Academy may also stop tuition where:
- lessons are repeatedly missed
- payment is not made
- behaviour is inappropriate
- there is a safeguarding concern
- tuition is no longer suitable
- there is a conflict of interest
- availability changes
Any outstanding fees for lessons already delivered remain payable.
Changes to these terms
Siddiq Academy may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will be available on the Siddiq Academy website.
